We are very pleased to welcome you to the Pirogov Ophthalmology Forum! This large-scale conference is organized by the Department of Eye Diseases and the Ophthalmology Clinic of the N.I. Pirogov National Medical and Surgical Center of the Russian Ministry of Health.
The forum program includes a wide range of problems that ophthalmologists face daily. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of complex cases. Among them, of undoubted interest are such issues as: surgery of complicated cataracts, modern methods of surgical treatment of retinal detachment, anti-VEGF therapy, laser and surgical treatment of glaucoma. Particular attention is paid to issues of emergency ophthalmological care, treatment of eye trauma.
During the conference, participants share their knowledge, analyze the specifics of ophthalmological care, and identify opportunities for long-term cooperation. Leading specialists demonstrate new surgical technologies and the possibilities of modern ophthalmic surgery.
We would like to especially note the high interest of the forum participants in the broadcast of operations performed in real time, the so-called "live surgery". As part of this conference, ophthalmologists will also have the opportunity to be virtually present in the operating room, ask questions to the operating surgeon, and take part in the discussion.
The Pirogov Ophthalmology Forum is not only a platform where leading specialists exchange opinions, experience and developments in ophthalmology, but also an opportunity for young scientists to present their achievements. For this purpose, a special section called "New Era" has been organized, within the framework of which young scientists will speak.
Undoubtedly, the Pirogov Ophthalmological Forum is one of the leading ophthalmological congresses in the Russian Federation.
